Welcome to Allergy & Asthma Specialists of Northern Vermont, P.C.
We are a full service sub-specialty clinical practice with offices in St. Albans (near the Northwestern Medical Center) and in Middlebury. Our mission is to optimally diagnose and treat the full spectrum of allergic and immunologic diseases.
Dr. William Newman is a board-certified allergist and clinical immunologist who established this private practice in August, 2005. He treats both pediatric and adult patients and has many years of primary and critical care experience.
Atopic diseases (eg. allergy, asthma, and atopic dermatitis) are increasing worldwide, and despite better understanding and treatment of these diseases, the morbidity and mortality from them is not decreasing.
Optimal diagnosis and care of these diseases requires accurate immunologic assessment and detailed lung studies that will dictate specific care plans. Among these treatments, immunologic desensitization with a series of allergy shots is often a therapeutic option that cures rather than treats the symptoms of disease.
Though Dr. Newman sees a broad spectrum of clinical consultations, he most often sees and treats patients with the following conditions:
